The one act play " ON DARTMOOR" was written by Neil grant.This play two girls living in a bungalow on Dartmoor.The bunglow was convenient building.There stay two girls.one named Muriol Armstrong and other was Leonara Astley. The main theme is about this story was make fool of two girls and everything money and clothes and watch theft that way.this story included mejor three characters. One are see about this story.

∆ summary of the play DARTMOOR:-
This one act play started from a bungalow in which two girls lived .one Muriel Armstrong and other Leonora Astley. the bunglow was modernly furnished the bungalow had two door and window next to the middle door. Muriel was capable of physical exercise and leonora was younger than her. Leonora slept on the divan and Muriel read while smoking a cigarette.the telephone rang and ruried picked up the phone.she hears someone's voice in front of her and claims to be police. He plots down phone asking some questions. Escaped prison listening to Leonora jump and explaining if she heard the sound of a gun but Muriel doesn't hear anything. And then they takes about a devil who has been on the run for three years.
Muriel says the prisoner may not have seen the bungalow, so not need to be afraid but leonora reminds she to write a novel about such an event. Then Leonara goes to the window and looks outside, thus he does it two or three times, at that moment,Muriel said that some one was hiding in the garden outside. But if Muriel doesn't see anyone and they again buly in their taking.if there is a noise at the does a few times , they both Aaj who it is if a man comes in He will be a fugitive his name will be Bill,and he will tell his story.
Lionara sympathizes with him and freezes him. Bill enjoys whiskey and Sandwiches, while they were talking,Bill started that he was a murderer and he was sentenced to Rantip. He was sentenced by a judge named old Astley who was the grand father of the Leonara . In that case .If someones vioce come ,the borrower will look out of the window , but there is not one if Bill wanted to go to playmouth at that time and he must have seen the twenty pound but Muriel had only five pounds given to brithday. So much so that Leonora sees a cake light outside the window and Muriel immediately brings Bill to her room. And she said to jump in to the garden if anyone come up Muriel comes down and handlines the situation. There's a man named Albert who comes in and says he's a c- division platoon officer from the Plymouth police force. He came to find the fugitive who had murdered his wife and who was dangerous then Albert asked a few questions and asked permission to search the house and after searching the house, the sisters story down . But every now and then a voice comes and shouts at Muriel.
That is the sound of a our moving if she goes in the room, all his jewelry and money is stolen as some everything was stolen from lionara 's room . In the end , both of them understand they stupidity. the both of Bill and Albert has member of one team and they come to stolen. At that time someone.knocks on the door and he is Fred who is the culprit Leonara and Muriel will hand him over to the police and this mysterious one Act play will end here.

The story on Dartmoor was reveous a secret that can be determinateal to us. This story also becomes ridiculous. Mystery is the main theme of this story looking at the second theme , the social reality, stupidity and reality.

Excualy, in this story ( one act play) Bill was a fustive at the end of the story. But end suspense open,he was not an escaped prisoner but he was a thief who come in bungalow because of stolen. All about this story he express himself as an escaped prisoner's who murder his own wife and then he escaped.
